    “Trouble”
    Pink

    G                                      D
No attorneys to plead my case,
    C                                G
No orbits to send me into outer space.
    And my fingers are bejeweled
With diamonds and gold, but that ain’t gonna help me now.

    G            C          G           C
    I’m trouble, yeah trouble now;
    G               C              D           C
    I’m trouble ya’ll — I disturb my town.
    I’m trouble, yeah trouble now;
I’m trouble ya’ll — I got trouble in my town.

You think you’re right, but you were wrong.
You tried to take me, but I knew all along.
You can take me for a ride,
But I’m not a fool out, so you better run and hide.

    CHORUS

    Bm                 Em       Am          D         C
If you see me coming down the street, then you
    Bm          Em      Am               D                        C                                 G
Know it’s time to go (and you know it’s time to go ’cause here comes trouble)…

    SOLO

No attorneys to plead my case,
No orbits to send me into outer space.
    And my fingers are bejeweled
With diamonds and gold, but that ain’t gonna help me now.

You think you’re right, but you were wrong.
You tried to take me, but I knew all along.
You can take me for a ride,
But I’m not a fool out, so you better run and hide.

    CHORUS

If you see me coming down the street, then you
Know it’s time to go (and you know it’s time to go ’cause here comes trouble)…

    CHORUS (repeat)

    “The Sound of Settling”
    by Death Cab for Cutie

    C#m        B    E   F#m            A                         C#m
I’ve got a hunger twisting my stomach into knots
    C#m     B                E     F#m     A
that my tongue has tied off.
My brain’s repeating, “If you’ve got an impulse, LET IT OUT!”
But they never make it past my mouth…

    E    F#m   B              Asus2                    E    F#m      B       Asus2
Ba, ba…   This is the sound of settling.  Ba, ba.  Ba, ba…
Ba, ba…   This is the sound of settling.  Ba, ba.  Ba, ba…

Our youth is fleeting; old age is just around the bend,
and I can’t wait to go gray.
And I’ll sit and wonder of every love that could have been
If I’d only thought of something charming to say.

Ba, ba…   This is the sound of settling.  Ba, ba.  Ba, ba…
Ba, ba…   This is the sound of settling.  Ba, ba.  Ba, ba…

Ba, ba…   This is the sound of settling.  Ba, ba.  Ba, ba…
Ba, ba…   This is the sound of settling.  Ba, ba.  Ba, ba…

I’ve got a hunger twisting my stomach into knots.

” Beyond Here Lies Nothin’ ”
    Bob Dylan

    Am – Am – Dm – Am – E – Am

    Am
    Oh, well, I love you pretty baby;
You’re the only love I’ve ever known.
    Am                                  Dm
Just as long as you stay with me,
    Dm                               Am
The whole world is my throne.

    Am                      E
    Beyond here lies nothin’…
    E                                      Am
Nothin’ we can call our own.

    Well I’m moving after midnight
    Down boulevards of broken cars.
Don’t know what I’d do without her,
Without this love that we call ours.

    Beyond here lies nothin’…
Nothing but the moon and stars.

    (SOLO)

Down every street there’s a window,
And every window’s made of glass.
We’ll keep on lovin’ pretty baby,
For as long as love will last.

    Beyond here lies nothin’…
But the mountains of the past.

    (SOLO) x2

Well my ship is in harbor,
    And the sails are spread.
    Listen to me, pretty baby:
Lay your hand upon my head.

    Beyond here lies nothin’…
    Nothin’ done and nothin’ said.

    Am

Chords / How to Play Songs

Many amateur musicians say to themselves, “I own an acoustic guitar, but I’m not sure how to play my favorite new music.” They may visit a video blog to try to figure out the chords, or they may go in search of the acoustic tabs. Regardless of the approach, there is a proliferation of chords sites that are incorrectly transcribed as often as not. This can be frustrating. Thus, the songwriters of the Laptop Sessions have established a “Chords / How to Play…” section on their website devoted to providing accurate chords/tabs for cover songs and new music. These are “How to…” articles written by young artists who know how to write a song and love to listen to new music – whenever possible, they are trying to share the chords and tabs that they have developed for their favorite music. The best cover songs are the ones that are played as faithfully to the originals, at least in terms of chords, and the boys of the Laptop Sessions hope to aid fellow musicians to play their own cover songs.
