  • The Waiting Is the Hardest Part…

    Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

    By Jim Fusco:

Sorry folks- Jim Fusco Tuesday will be on Wednesday this week, as my running schedule (for a 5k I’m running with my colleagues at work) had me training tonight.  I ran with my brother Mike at the gym and feel I’m making some good progress.  I think I did about 4.5k tonight, plus weights, so I hope I’ll be ready when Race Day arrives in less than two weeks.

I was actually practicing quite a bit for my cover song music video, but I haven’t gotten the middle 8 down just yet.  It’s such a great song- I can’t wait to premiere it tomorrow!  Plus, I’m planning a long-overdue requested song for next week with a possible duet!  I’m also planning on recording Barenaked Ladies’ new single, “You Run Away”, with Mike and another Brett Dennen song with him, as well.  Plus, I have a few editions of “Ask the Musician” I’m ready to write…if I can find a free day here on the blog to post them without double-posting!  You can take the man out of SEO…

Anyway, have a great rest of your day and make sure to stop back on Wednesday night for my next post!

  • What An Interesting Turn Of Events…

    Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

    By Jim Fusco:

Hello folks!  Let’s get one thing straight- the “Laptop Sessions”, for me, are not even recorded on a laptop anymore! :-)   That said, I gave no thought to the question my wife asked me this evening: “Can I take the video camera to dance class so I can show them the video I took on Friday?”  My response was a nice, husbandly, “Sure!”  About an hour and a half later, I realize that I cannot record a video without that camera…

She’ll be back in a little while, but I promised both Mike and Becky that we would watch our new favorite show, “Arrested Development”.  Besides, we’re celebrating Mike’s great job on his exam today.

    So, here’s the plan:

I’m holding out hope that I at least get dismissed early from work tomorrow (due to the large snowstorm they’re predicting for central Connecticut).  That way, I’ll have time when I get home to record a video.  I have two GREAT ones in mind from two totally new artists to the blog.  And one you might have even heard of!

So, I hope you’ll hurry-back tomorrow for my update.  Hopefully I’ll be in a good mood because I’ll have some extra time to myself.  Have a good night and see you tomorrow!

FMP Announcements

Fusco-Moore Productions is a new music production company whose main focus is to develop and release new, high quality material over a variety of genres. Known as FMP, for short, the principle members are the three songwriters Jim Fusco, Chris Moore, and Jeff Copperthite. In addition to releasing new music on a regular basis, FMP features music videos on the Laptop Sessions acoustic cover video blog. Their sound is largely based on acoustic guitar music, so the Laptop Sessions come naturally to them. From time to time, they combine their songwriting talents on group sessions, releasing new rock music such as 2008’s MoU album Homestead’s Revenge. When they are not writing themselves, they use their music blog to share tips on how to write a song, how to go about recording a song, acoustic tabs, and free videos and free mp3s.
