    By Chris Moore:

All right, now I’m kicking into high gear. This is one of my favorite tracks from Matchbox Twenty. It’s an obscure one, but I’ve always loved it. I have to stretch my range on the middle, but I practiced so many times that not posting for lack of perfection just wasn’t an option!

Matchbox Twenty Acoustic Cover Songs

The 2007 release of a Matchbox Twenty greatest hits / new music EP combo was proof that Rob Thomas’ solo career would not supercede his songwriting responsibilities for the band responsible for his rise to fame. As on their previous three albums, this EP combined acoustic guitar music with a harder, electric sound. However, for the first time ever in their recording process, Matchbox Twenty reconsidered how to write a song and included the songwriting talents of all members of the band, instead of only Thomas. Fans hoping to listen to new music soon will be excited to know that Matchbox Twenty may be recording and releasing a new album by 2009, according to some sources. The catalog of Rob Thomas and Matchbox Twenty has already been tapped into as the songwriters of the Laptop Sessions acoustic cover songs music blog continue to record their unplugged free videos; such hits like “3am” and “How Far You’ve Come” may be added in the future.
